At Penn State and in the College
- Schreyer Honors College coordinator for IST—advising students toward undergraduate research.
- Interim Associate Dean for Graduate & Undergraduate Studies (2014–2015).
- Rock Ethics Institute Internal Advisory Board; University Open Access Task Force.
For Science
From 2010–2012 I served as a Program Manager in the U.S. National Science Foundation (Office of International Science and Engineering; Office of Cyberinfrastructure). During this time I traveled to Iraq to assist in a workshop to further develop science and technology policy, including the role of universities in training scientists and serving as centers for innovation and entrepreneurship.
